In August 2021, I debuted djSwade Radio on Pandora and started featuring my favorite songs in my blog. My only criteria for picking these songs is that I really enjoy them. It doesn't matter to me whether they're old or new as long as they groove.
For November 2022, I've selected "Just Past Midnight" by David Arkenstone.
This song has a real jazz feel to it. I can also hear some definite Latin influence. The very comfortable, upbeat music, with keyboards and a smooth guitar riff, is complemented nicely by a really insistent, energizing beat. It has a very cool melody to it, something I really enjoy listening to.
This is one that I listen to when I want to get going on something. I can feel myself wanting to get up and dance as I'm typing this blog post. It's something that can really motivate me and get me through something I need to get done. And when I am finished, I can continue grooving right on to the next thing.
